Post IMC Workshop on Freshwater fungi

Organizer: Dr. Huzefa Raja, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, NC 27412, United States.
Other experts: Dr. Huang Zhang, Kunming University of Science & Technology, China.
This workshop will bring together some of the world leaders in freshwater fungi to work together on forays and study the freshwater fungi in Northern Thai water bodies. Collections of material will have been made beforehand and incubated. Non-specialists and students should also attend as they can learn from the experts.
The workshop will include:
- Field excursions to collect Freshwater fungi
- Examination of specimens in laboratory
- “Hands on” techniques for study of Freshwater fungi
- Some lectures and offered talks onFreshwater fungi
In addition, a visit to: White temple (Wat Rong Khun), Golden triangle, and/or Myanmar-Thailand border will be provided.
Accommodation and all food provided by the Organizing committee (except when in the field)
Full workshop fee – 25,000 Baht (800 USD).Price includes airport pickup, accommodation (shared room), food, collecting trips and laboratory use.
